This Cookie Policy explains how cookies and similar technologies are used on the CityFiks website.
1. What Are Cookies and Similar Technologies?
Cookies are small text files that a website stores on a user’s device when the user visits the site. They help ensure the website functions properly, save the user’s preferences, and improve the user experience.
In addition to cookies, other technologies may also be used on the website, such as:
- Local Storage;
- Session Storage;
- technical scripts to ensure the website’s operation and security;
- Complianz (CMP), a cookie consent management solution.
These technologies are used solely to ensure the website functions properly and are not used for user profiling or advertising purposes.
Cookies alone do not always allow for the identification of a specific individual. However, if they are linked to other information, such as an IP address or other identifiers, they may be considered personal data under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
2. Why We Use Cookies
CityFiks uses cookies and similar technologies to:
- to ensure the technical operation of the website;
- ensure the functionality of WordPress, WPML, and other components used;
- save the user’s selected language and other website settings;
- manage user preferences regarding cookies;
- to ensure the security of the website and protect it against misuse;
- ensure that the website content loads and displays correctly;
- provide interactive map display using Google Maps.
CityFiks does not currently use:
- Google Analytics;
- Google Tag Manager;
- Google Ads;
- Meta Pixel;
- MailerLite tracking technologies;
- other analytics, advertising, or profiling technologies.
3. Managing Cookie Consent
CityFiks uses the Complianz Consent Management Platform (CMP) to manage users’ cookie preferences.
When a user visits the site for the first time, a cookie notice appears, allowing them to select their cookie settings.
The user’s selection is saved so that the cookie notice does not have to be displayed every time the user visits the site.
Users can delete or change their cookie settings in their web browser at any time, or review and change their previously given consent, using the “Manage Settings” feature available on the website.
4. Categories of Cookies Used
4.1. Essential cookies
These cookies are necessary for the website to function, for security, and to provide the service. Without them, the website cannot function properly.
User consent is not required for the use of these cookies, as they are necessary for the provision of the service.
If the use of these cookies results in the processing of personal data, the legal basis for such processing is Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR — the controller’s legitimate interest in ensuring the secure and uninterrupted operation of the website.
4.2. Functionality cookies
Functionality cookies are used to provide features on the website selected by the user, such as saving the selected language. If a specific feature is necessary to provide the service requested by the user, such cookies may be used without separate consent. If a functionality cookie is not strictly necessary or is used for broader preference purposes, it is activated only after the user’s consent.
